The Llyn Peninsula and the wider North Wales offer a variety of wildlife, mountainous scenery, coastal and countryside attractions. Visitors may choose to travel along the coast by car and explore beaches and coves, including the nearby pebble beach at Trefor (a 5-minute drive from the cottages), the lovely coastal village of Morfa Nefyn, Hell’s Mouth, Pwllheli or Abersoch. If you are looking to venture slightly further afield, the popular seaside town of LLandudno is around one hour's drive from the cottages.

For keen walkers, the Welsh countryside is on the doorstep. The rugged grey mountain tops of The Rivals, the Welsh valleys and sweeping coastline of the peninsula offer diversity throughout the seasons.

A short walk up the hill behind the cottages and, depending on the time of year and the growth of bracken, the Coastal Path can be joined. The cottages are also within easy driving distance of Snowdonia National Park and many other protected areas of natural beauty and wildlife sanctuaries.

If you wish to see the more historical attractions of North Wales, there are impressive architectural landmarks such as the castles of Caernarfon, Beaumaris (on the Isle of Anglesey) and the medieval fortification at Harlech

For adrenalin seekers Zip World offers zip wire adventures both over and underground. Zip World Velocity at Penrhyn, Quarry, Bethesda is the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the world. The Zip World Caverns at Blauneau Ffestiniog are also 'the world's largest fully underground zip line and adventure course'. Visit www.zipworld.co.uk for details on all their zip wire activities in North Wales or call 01248 601 444 for more information. As these attractions are very popular it's advisable to book in advance.

The majority of attractions are within a 30-40 minute drive from the cottages. We include a small brochure of tourist information in each cottage and we are always happy to offer advice on places to visit.

Pubs and eateries

Please note that pubs and eateries are not within easy walking distance of the cottages. However, the Harp Hotel at Llandwrog (ten minutes down the road by car towards Caernarfon, opposite Glynllifon Park) and the Goat Inn (20 minutes' drive away) are recommended.

Many guests choose to enjoy a pub lunch during the day whilst sightseeing (the Ty Coch Inn on the beach at Morfa Nefyn is a lovely spot if the sun is out), before returning to the farm and cottages for an evening watching the sun set or relaxing in front of the log fire (kindling is provided).

Supermarket Deliveries

For ease and convenience, some guests have chosen to order their food online with Tesco, which generally delivers with efficiency to the farm.
